More CNY shots

My mother sewed outfits for all the girls.  This colour combo does look nice and cheery in photos!

Ages 6, 3, 2 and 4

Ages 4, 6, 2 and 3

This year SE has been opening up the angpows she gets (those I don't remove from her in time).

Ah Mah gave me this....

Look, got MONEY inside!

And she'd keep informing me that there's money inside!

CNY 2015

Happy CNY  everyone! *waves* A quick update in between tackling my pile of work accumulated from 8 days out of the office.

Reunion: Cooked most of the dishes.  But I thought the best dish was the one hubby had a professional chef make... braised sea cucumber with pork trotter.  Oh well, I never learn.  I'd just keep coming up with various not-great dishes time after time hehe. Who knows, a breakthrough could be just round the corner!

One for the album

On the first day, we don't have any programs and set off to the Secret Garden as usual. Took quite a few photos of all 4 of us, but didn't get any great ones.  It didn't help that JE wasn't in the mood for photos and kept running away, staring sullenly elsewhere or being in tears.

One of the better shots

Luckily SE was in a good mood.  Here she is doing her 'moustache' act...

Moo-tark!

JE perked up at the end, phew.  By that time we'd spent quite long in the garden, hot and tired already!

Happy CNY!

Vainpots

I did wish for a boy at one stage.  But given the choice between having 2 girls and 2 boys, I'd definitely have picked 2 girls. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to buy them pretty dresses and accessories...

JE: Am I pretty?
SE: Let me check if this is the necklace I like...

JE: Oh she's such a fussypot
SE: Mummy, I don't want wear this necklace. I want the pink one

JE: All right, keep that necklace and I'll give you this pink bracelet.
SE: OK, deal!

They have rather a large box of accessories by now - hairclips, necklaces, bracelets, rings, hairbands (but this category I'm hiding first, already have too many snapped by over-eager little hands), hair-ties.  And sometimes they like to completely overdo it!

Ta-dahhh!!

Yep, even the back of their heads have clips on as well!

Dancing with bubbles

We were watching Big Hero 6 last weekend.  Halfway through, I thought they'd had enough screen time already, so asked JE to turn off the TV and said we were going out to blow bubbles.  Cries of "But whyyyy??" ensued.  And cries of " I DON'T want to blow bubbles!" and "I want to watch TV!!!" And then bawl-type cries accompanied by flopping onto the sofa and refusing to budge.

SE was happy with the idea of bubbles and we went outside.  Eventually JE came out as well (she knows already Mummy would not give in, not like Papa hehe).  And declared she was going to dance with the bubbles.

Catching...

Dancing....

Woo hoo!

Jumping...

We went to the playground after that.  The girls didn't want to leave.  Next time I should take them outside even earlier. :)

The 'P's

JE likes...

1. Pink. (Second choices being purple, red, orange)
2. Pretty party dresses
3. Princesses

And also

4. Hairclips and other accessories

Looks like I have a girly girl on my hands. (But guess that can always change?)

Gimme my P's and I'll be happy!

Me

Another thing I'm not in too much hurry to correct! SE currently uses 'me' to refer to herself. Sometimes it's right:

Who wants to eat ice-cream?
SE: Me!
Who made the floor so messy?
SE: Not me

You wan me move?

Sometimes it's not right:
SE: Can me pay ipad?
SE: Shall me go up-tair?
SE: Can me eat thih?

Can me go ay-yi (already)?

JE did her big business last week and called for kakak to wash her. Somehow SE reached the toilet first.

JE: Kakak!
JE: Finish ugh-ugh!
SE: Jo-jo, me cannot wash! Me cannot wash ok?
JE: Kakaaaakk!
SE: Me cannot ok? Me cannot Jojo.

Hehe dunno where she got it into her little head that she's expected to wash bum-bum for JE!
