She has endless patience hiding herself from things she doesn't want to do. Which will result in a mountain of undone work. Which she WILL worry about. Yet when nudged to start on the work, this is what happens.
I have decided to change her from the current Chinese stream to a dual language one. Nobody else has the time or patience to push this girl every step of the way.
Hahahaaa...Is she like this only when she is at home? Usually, kids like her will be very obedient in school. I think Chinese school has a lot of homework because of their high standard.
ReplyDeleteAt school surely wouldn't dare to be like this. She is struggling with Chinese at the base level, and then the lessons themselves. Plus her dilly-dallying is really at expert level.
DeleteYa, good decision to change. The study pace should suit her better. SE is a creative artist like Vincent Van Gogh or Rembrandt. They have inborn talent and are special so cannot be pressured to do things they are not designed for. Hope this change will work out for you and her. Need to change school is it?

Deletechanging to a non-Chinese school would be good for her. Sometimes i feel those kids in Chinese school are over-pressured with loads of homework...i feel pity for them...
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say the homework is really all that much. For SE, a single page of homework can take ages. She doesn't understand, teach already still don't understand, then she will play first and then she will keep taking breaks. And the rate she moves her pencil is slow. And she will also erase a lot.
