JE had been wanting specs for the longest time. The last time she was tested, she had very slight power in one eye. So didn't bother getting her specs (which she wasn't pleased at).
Now she insisted on getting her eyes tested again. Haha see how thrilled she was.

Shoo-ed her off the chair to let SE go first. The verdict... SE's power has gone down from +450 to +150 (her problem is farsightedness. Power is more than mummy's reading glasses!). Woo hoo! That's a big drop and hopefully that's the correct power when the specs arrive. JE.... needs specs. Sigh. Power is -0.25 on one side and -1.25 for the other. Optometrist said if she doesn't wear specs, the weaker eye will get worse (don't know if he was just opportunistic!). So what to do, specs for this girl also.

JE wants specs now because she felt leftout I guess seeing SE wearing specs. Later when JE is older, teenager, she would want contact lenses. Later when she is working, like all my friends she would want to go for Lasik so that she would not need to wear specs or contact lenses anymore. The circle of life.

DeleteGood news that SE's power has dropped. Hope JE will have better vision with her new specs. Beautiful photos of the girls without specs.
ReplyDeleteYeah I was pleased SE's power had dropped so much. JE... oh well I'm used to having one daughter wear specs. What's another one right? Haha.
