This post is a reminder to myself... no more letting the kids have ice-cream in the car!
Ice-cream! Yum yum
I thought it'd be safer from a health point of view to finish off eating in the car, as compared to eating outside with masks off. Also it would be comfortable to eat while seated in the car. Then...
Dripping sticky ice-cream all over clothes and self
Mummy, you want?
All the while complaining that her flavour of ice-cream was no good and melted too quickly. And no, I didn't want that soggy sticky mess of cone!
JE finished hers without problems.
Yes, definitely safer to eat the ice cream inside the car. Just put empty used cleaned food containers in the car for them to act as trays to catch any dripping ice cream. Wet wipes would be handy for SE to clean her hands n mouth after eating. Definitely safety first.
ReplyDeletegreat ideas..
DeleteIs Su Ern 5 years old birthday today ?
ReplyDeleteGosh Agnes I just noticed this hasn't been updated for years! Su Ern will be 10 soon. :)
DeleteI will never eat ice cream in the car too...coz the car is stuffy during the day, even with air-cond 'ON', it will blow out some hot air first, hence the ice cream will melt very fast.
ReplyDeleteWith the current pandemic, i seldom eat ice-cream outdoor too. Now thinking of that i kinda miss ice-cream!
I have eaten ice cream in the car many times. Even durians too, hahahaha. Ok la eat in the car. 😆
DeleteMy hubby will have a fit with durian smell in the car! Even transporting it is a no-no for him.
DeleteIt is safer in the car but can be messy. Lol! Can see the ice cream stains on SE's cheek and around her mouth.
ReplyDeleteShe was one sticky child indeed! I'd initially thought of making a stop before reaching home but this child was one factor to head straight home instead.
