Hands work, check

Jo Ern is getting dexterous these days. Within seconds her little hands grab and stuff things into her mouth. This new skill, coupled with the shorter time she will sit still, makes going out to dinner quite challenging. I'm thinking we should sometimes just pack the food and eat at home!

Grab plate

Shake plate. **we quickly remove plate from her in case she breaks it**

Grab and bite sauce plate **we quickly remove sauce plate**

Hubby: Jo Ern, cannot grab anything on the table ok?

Jo Ern: OK papa, I bite my own blanket only

10 secs later: Grab placemat. Hubby:.....*speechless*

  1. How cute is that!
Is Jo Ern sitting on the table or a baby chair???
LOoks like on the table...and the blanket around her makes her look so comfy!

  2. the secret is to bring something from home for her to chew on at the restaurant. Heinz teething rusks worked for sean until he got bored of them :) and just today found out that he loves chewing on the cob of a corn!

  3. You're right Leona, Jo Ern is ON the table, haha. Just to amuse her a while before the food came. This was in Genting so she was all wrapped up.

MayChing, I do bring her soft doggie around these days. But she is always interested in things that are NOT her toys! I think I have to be more creative on selecting the things to bring! Err isn't corn kinda messy?

  4. He he..... nice series of photos.

Can try to bring along more toys (instead of just the doggie). I think when Elyssa was at this age, she preferred hard plastic stuff to soft toys.

  6. Have been raiding my kitchen cabinet for safe 'toys' for her! Will try a corn cob the next time I have one haha.

LittleLamb, I didn't want her to expect food when I didn't bring any for her! So far she is only put in a high chair to eat. Anyway once our food arrived that night she was moved back to her own stroller.

  7. can even let her hold a sippy cup. jensen can keep himself occupied biting the teat of his milk bottle (which i fill with water sometimes). but then again, it won't last him for 10mins la.. jensen even got his little fingers into spicy sauce before, couldn't remember wat sauce though. these babies at this age definately keep us busy all the time.
