Belated mooncake celebration

Belated post of a belated celebration... Somehow didn't make a big deal of it this year.  Luckily sis-in-law had lanterns.

Grandparents and grandkids

My mum thought they could light up the lanterns and just hang out in the garden  But the kids requested to walk around the neighbourhood with their lanterns.  We had been doing that and it's good that they remember this 'tradition'.  They might outgrow wanting to do this all too soon.

Didn't even have any mooncakes... didn't receive any, didn't give any.  Must do better next year!

  1. Lantern festivals are fun when the kids are around. Otherwise it is just like any normal day.

  2. What Nancy said is so true. Lanterns and children go well together. Next year, must have at least 2 moon cakes for the children to share or else they will only associate this festival with lanterns and not mooncakes.

    3. They might be slightly interested, but not for long one. Not worth purposely going for it.

    1. I guess it's good to make an effort to observe these festivals.
