Realised I didn't blog about this earlier. I was upset about it - hubby got JE the newest iPhone without checking with me. I was annoyed for various reasons - including my opinion that 13 was way too young to be having the latest phone in the market, also that she was spending too much time on gadgets as it was. JE was actually happy enough with her iPhone 6s hand-me-down. So she didn't even request a new one and hubby just decided to buy her one. He said he thought he'd told me his plan.
I obviously couldn't remove it after he'd already given it to her. So I made her promise to study properly to 'earn' that phone, then mummy would be consider it to be worth it.
So far... she has definitely been spending a lot of time on it. And with me spending so much time on work, I'm not there to remind her not to. Will see how this goes.
Wow! Is the latest price rm6k and above? All my hp are below rm1k. I wonder why her father suddenly decided to buy it for her since she didn't even request for it.
ReplyDeleteYa out of the blue. He'd been dragging her to look at phones and I assumed he was planning to get one for himself. Suddenly bought and it was for her.
DeleteWow, latest iphone! But yea, i agree tht a 13 year old shouldn't be using an expensive phone. In fact they shouldn't be spending so much time on screen. Study comes first.
