Sleeping Child
Happiness is... dozing off with a full tummy, snuggled in Mummy's arms
Oh my sleeping child the world’s so wild
But you’ve build your own paradise
That’s one reason why I’ll cover you sleeping child
I’m gonna cover my
Sleeping child
Keep you away from the world so wild... Lyrics from Hubby's fav karaoke group.
I can't quite get over how peaceful and perfect her little face looks while she's sleeping. I love my little baby! Heh.
The photo above has actually been rotated 90 degrees. Jo Ern can't hold her head upright yet so she's still mostly carried in a horizontal position. Unedited photo would look like this one below:
Mummy... enough with the camera already t0day...

Back to Work
Too bright, Mummy. Cannot open eyes
Went back to work last week. It was a wrench leaving my little baby on the Monday morning. 'Fortunately' I was preoccupied with waking up earlier, driving to the office again, starting a new assignment and thanks to Jo Ern, a new task: expressing milk. I also worried if my parents could cope with looking after a baby on top of 4-yo Justin and 2-yo Elyssa. The week seemed to pass so slowly. I hated having so little time with her, only about half an hour in the morning before going to work and a couple of hours in the evening before going to sleep.
.
Then again, I would go nuts if I stayed at home with her full time. And Jo Ern has behaved well enough at Ah Kong and Ah Ma's place, enough that they didn't threaten to kick her out!
.
This week has been better. I think everything will work out fine. :)

New Stroller
I prefer Mummy or Papa to carry. But kai-kai in this stroller also can lah.
.
.
Bought a stroller for Jo Ern, now I can be out and about! There wasn't much need for it before since I have mostly stayed at home since her birth. Hubby's main concern about taking her to crowded public places was her picking up germs and getting sick. Mine was feeding her. She tends to want milk very often unless she is sleeping. Outings wouldn't be much fun if I was always sitting in the baby room or frantically looking for one!
.
So far we have pushed her around 1Utama, the Curve and Empire shopping centres. It is still stressful bringing her - I am always expecting her to cry - but it IS nice being able to go to the malls again. We just have to limit ourselves to shorter trips.

Bath Time
Water mustn't be too hot or too cold. But I will still cry if I am not in a good mood
Jo Ern gets her bath every morning from hubby. I sprained my hand around the time she was born and two months on, it still hasn't healed yet. Ah Ma bathed her during my confinement month. I was worried about handling a slippery naked baby with my sprained hand. Luckily for me, hubby stepped in and proved to be a competent baby-bather! Now he bathes her while I go downstairs and get breakfast ready for us.
.
She quite likes her baths. But once in a while she cries throughout... we have yet to figure out why. Or maybe there is just no reason!

2-month Report
Doctor says I'm cute. She's a specialist so she must be right
We went to Columbia Asia hospital for Jo Ern's check and vaccinations at 2 months. Doctor says Jo Ern is doing well and is so cute! Hubby says of course lah, you expect the doctor to say your baby is NOT cute?? Hehe.
Weight: 5.03kg
Length: 57cm
Jo Ern scrunched up her face and wailed loudly right after she got the jab in her thigh. Poor little baby. At least her pain nerves are working fine. One less thing for this paranoid mummy to worry about!

Chilling out with Papa
Don't want like this, don't want!
Much better. Hold the cushion properly, just like that
It's difficult doing anything that requires a bit of time while taking care of Jo Ern. I have to let her be while I do chores like cooking and hanging clothes. But it's stressful to eat, take a shower or even go to the toilet with her screaming away and I am always rushing to finish. So I'm happy when hubby takes over the job for a while.
.
Hubby often holds her and rocks in the Lazyboy chair. While she likes being carried, she also prefers the person carrying her to MOVE!

Waking up with Jo Ern
Papa is so relaxed. OK I rest a bit first, then I shall start crying
Captured an early morning photo of hubby with little Miss Chubby-Legs. Clock shows that it's 9am...what, that's not early? It is if you have been up a few times during the night! I have to feed Jo Ern and pump some milk for storage. Hubby always wakes up too as he is a light sleeper. Just as well, as she will be quiet a while after her milk-milk before starting to cry. Then hubby has to pacify her somehow if he wants to sleep.
