Crown of hair

My maid Jane does the girls' hair.  Me, I can't tie anything except a simple ponytail hehe.  Maybe pigtails if you don't mind them not straight.

Recently she did this 'crown':

SE's lasted all of 10 mins after it was finished.  She eagerly looked into the mirror.  Then complained it wasn't nice, she looked like a BOY.  And promptly pulled apart the whole thing.  This hairdo took quite a while to do.  Aisshhh.

    Looks nice! Why did SE think that it makes her look like a boy? Does SE think JE looks like a boy too with this hairstyle?
