A Meal at home

SE asked how come I only take photos of meals outside.  So here are photos of a meal at home.  The photos are dark and don't focus on the food haha.  Anyway dishes are kangkung adobo, sambal petai and a mushroom-pork dish.  Rice is our usual blue from the butterfly pea flowers planted outside.  The kids will have soup - I don't bother for adults.  Hubby either arranges soup for himself or goes without.

The girls have graduated beyond these kiddy plates for meals - don't know why they were used for this dinner.

I will eat fast if I like the food. Else I will dawdle and take ages

Me too

Our maid is the cook.  I don't cook any more - Jane is a better cook than I am anyway, I am lazy and I really don't have the time since joining this company.  In no particular sequence.  :)

  1. Good that SE and JE eats sambal petai too. Many people don't believe that the natural blue from the flowers can be so blue like in your photo. You are so blessed to have Jane who can cook so well.

    1. Oh actually the sambal petai isn't for them. That's why got 3 dishes. We normally only have 1 meat 1 veg.

Our previous maid was much more efficient at cleaning and other housework. But Jane cooks better. Can't have everything la.

    2. Cooks better is more skillful because robots also can do cleaning but robots cannot cook tasty dishes.

    3. But... things aren't very clean. Dishes remain in sink for many hours. Clothes are not ironed for months. You get the picture.

  2. How nice if I have someone to do the cooking for a change. Most kids don't eat sambal petai.

    1. Actually they don't eat the sambal petai. I'm trying to train them to eat spicy food but not too successfully.
