We have spayed the cat that produced kittens a few times. Still plenty of cats are left. Hubby feeds one cat and others also come along. JE likes playing with them so on weekends these cats get to eat many times a day!

To me they are overall a nuisance - scratch tyres on the car, always noisily meowing, rubs themselves against our legs etc. At least they get JE out of the house a while.
It is good to spay the stray cats and dogs. I agree that they can be a nuisance. The cats will climb up on top of our cars, leaving behind scratches and footprints. The stray dogs pee on my flower pots and poo in front of my gate or on my flower beds.

DeleteThank you for spaying the cat and for feeding them. Since they are kittens in your photo, you can take them all for spaying when they are a bit older so you don't get more. I know some projects that will contribute to the cost of spaying so please get in touch when me when you want to spay them. Good that JE likes them. What about SE? Does SE play with the cats too?

DeleteYa, many people don't like their actions but they are just animals, can't expect them to understand humans concept of property boundaries and cars and must do your business in toilets concepts.

DeleteBut how do you prevent them from going into your garden as humanely as possible as they don't understand humans boundaries? It is like trying to prevent birds from flying over your garden. The world is a free place to go anywhere they like as far as animals are concerned. It is humans who set concepts like private belongings, private properties and etc.

ReplyDeleteHe was lonely at home... he's the type who used to go out with his friends a lot, which he couldn't do with Covid. And the rest of us were in our apartment. Hence the new 'pet cat'.
