That's why I still send them for art class even though they complain it's not enjoyable and they're not learning anything. At least they do something other than being couch potatoes! We would also go out for lunch, sometimes a short trip to a small mall, swimming if the weather permits.
Weekend schedule - TV allowed after lunch, iPads evenings onwards

Rest of Sat: Mostly couch potato-ing
Sun: Mostly couch potato-ing
Today's young generation is so different from what we used to be. We will be out playing with friends all day long. No such thing as couch potato-ing. Are they interested in sport activities, outdoor or indoor? I assume most kids do not enjoy outdoor activities because of the heat and sweating.
ReplyDeleteWell they don't have friends living nearby since we would be home during weekends. They aren't the sporty type as far as I can tell - no more gymrama/swimming since before MCO.
DeleteOh, good that they are not attending tuition classes, or activities like music lessons, swimming lessons, self defence lessons and etc that makes them not having time to relax. Your weekend schedule for them includes lots of couch potato-ing which means relax time!
