JE is a little neglected these days since I'm so preoccupied with SE. She's overall ok but her school (a government SMK school) doesn't seem too good. Teachers often do not come into class. She has friends and doesn't want to leave though. We shall give it one more year and see.
Noodles for me
Since she likes her friends there, you are doing the right thing to wait and see another year.
ReplyDeleteShe has 1 good friend - not easy to fit in when the majority belong to a different race/language/culture.
DeleteWas she in a private school before this?
ReplyDeleteShe was in a SJK Chinese primary school - teachers were definitely more dedicated.
DeleteI hope JE enjoys her school and things work out for her.
DeleteI remembered my SMK school was as lousy with teachers absent throughout the year (in my Form 4 & 5). Back then, the richer kids will go to the tuition centers (which are only available in the city center) to cope up. I can only manage to self-study & there were no online tuition during those days (in the 90s). I ended up scoring badly in that particular subject in SPM. Having a good and dedicated teacher does contribute to a student's performance
ReplyDeleteBut nuxv u turned out great 👍 with a good career path so it all boils down to oneself.
DeleteNux u must be younger than me haha. During my time teachers were overall worth their pay!
DeleteStacy, you went to a former convent school in Ipoh, is it? I think we are about the same age and I won't say all my teachers are worth their pay. Lolx! 😀
